How to download Coub videos
Tested October 27, 2026 with Castmate for Chrome.
- Open the Coub video in Chrome and start playing it.
- Click the Castmate icon in the toolbar. The video shows up with its title, length and quality.
- Or press Download, then Save to computer, to keep it as one MP4 file. (Saving comes with the next Castmate update, 1.0.5.)
What we found
- Casting didn't work in our test. Coub refuses the TV's requests. Saving still works, so you can download the video and play it from your computer.
- Saving works: one MP4 file. The videos we tried had no sound track to begin with.
