How to cast CBS News videos to your TV
Tested October 27, 2026 with Castmate for Chrome.
- Open the CBS News video in Chrome and start playing it.
- Click the Castmate icon in the toolbar. The video shows up with its title, length and quality.
- Press Cast and pick your TV. The TV plays the stream itself, in full quality, so you can close the laptop.
What we found
- Casting works directly. The TV fetches the stream itself; nothing else needs to run on your computer.
- Saving: live streams can't be saved. Videos that have finished airing can.
